We welcome submissions from both emerging and established writers who are committed to philanthropy and dedicated to offering fresh perspectives in a rapidly changing world. To understand the types of stories and research we champion, we invite you to explore our current titles.
Crucial Prerequisites
By submitting your work to NovoReads, you acknowledge and agree to the following conditions:
- Exclusive Charity Donation: You are submitting this manuscript with the explicit intent to donate 100% of your royalty earnings to the Novo Books for Charity Program to support Defend International. We do not consider works not intended for charity.
- Exclusive Review: The manuscript is not currently under review by any other publisher or agent.
- Copyright Ownership: The work must belong entirely to you, or you must be the legal copyright owner. You must register and copyright your manuscript prior to submission.
- Editorial Discretion: If accepted, you agree to our standard terms, conditions, and any editing the NovoReads team deems necessary to maintain high publication standards.
- Author’s Risk: These guidelines are for informational purposes only. The decision to donate a manuscript rests solely with the author, and submissions are made at the author’s own risk. NovoReads does not assume legal responsibility for submitted materials.
How to Submit
To ensure a swift evaluation process, please review and follow these steps carefully. We do not require a literary agent, and we only accept digital submissions.

1. What to Include in Your Submission
Please provide the following materials as separate attachments or clearly divided sections within your digital application:
- The Manuscript: Your complete manuscript as one continuous file (MS Word or Pages format preferred).
- A Brief Query Letter: An introductory letter introducing yourself and your project.
- A Project Synopsis: A clear summary of the manuscript, its approximate total word count, and your target audience.
- Author Biography: A short bio written in the third person, outlining your background and previous publication history (if any).
- Market Analysis: A brief list of competitive or similar titles, along with a short explanation of how your manuscript offers a unique perspective.
2. Formatting Guidelines
To be added to our editorial review list, your manuscript file must meet standard publishing submission formats:
- Title Page: Must include the title of the book, the author’s legal name, and full contact details (email, phone number, and physical mailing address).
- Layout: Start each new chapter on its own page, roughly one-third of the way down the page.
- Typography: Use a standard, easily readable publishing font (12-point size, preferably Garamond or Times New Roman).
The Evaluation Process
Our editorial team prioritizes literary and scientific quality to maximize the impact of our charitable mission. Because we receive a high volume of unsolicited manuscripts, our evaluation process requires time and care.
- Response Timeline: We aim to assess and respond to submissions within 1 to 6 months of receipt.
- Next Steps: If your manuscript fits the scope and high standards of NovoReads, we will contact you directly to discuss a contract for publishing and royalty donation.
- No-Response Policy: Given our small team and high submission volumes, we are unable to respond to all inquiries. If you do not hear from us within 6 months, it means your manuscript does not currently align with our editorial needs. No materials submitted digitally will be returned.
